Dan Towriss has been appointed as the CEO of TWG Motorsports, taking charge of the company’s growing presence in global racing. TWG Motorsports, a division of TWG Global, oversees a broad portfolio of racing teams, including Cadillac Formula 1, Andretti Global, Spire Motorsports, and Wayne Taylor Racing. Towriss, a longtime partner of TWG Global co-chair Mark Walter, will now lead operations as TWG expands its influence in motorsports.

Towriss has played a crucial role in TWG’s rapid expansion, particularly in securing Cadillac’s entry into Formula 1. Under his leadership, the group has made significant acquisitions and strengthened its presence across multiple racing series, including NASCAR, IndyCar, and IMSA. His appointment marks a strategic move to unify TWG’s motorsports investments under a single leadership vision.

In addition to his role at TWG Motorsports, Towriss will continue serving as CEO of Group 1001 Insurance, a financial services firm managing over $66 billion in assets. TWG Motorsports was officially formed in late 2024, shortly after Michael Andretti stepped back from day-to-day operations at Andretti Global. This transition was key in securing Cadillac’s F1 bid, which had previously faced obstacles in gaining approval from Formula One Management. Towriss now oversees the integration of Cadillac F1 into TWG’s global racing strategy.
